Prep your space and save

First off, Thank You for scheduling your carpet cleaning with us!!!!As we mentioned on the phone call with you, preparation for our arrival is EASY!Vacuuming: Remember, you can save $7.00 per room by vacuuming well (with special attention to areas under baseboard heaters, edges and stairs). A great helpful hint is to remember to start with a clean vacuum bag (or filter in the case of a “bagless” vacuum) with  vacuum hoses free from obstructions.Furniture: While leaving access to a water source for 3-5 gallons of pre-treatment mixing, please move any smaller furniture/”knick knacks” to an un carpeted area of the home allowing access to areas of carpet that you would like us to clean . Usually, there is no problem with us moving a couple of couches/loveseats/recliners out, cleaning behind them and replacing them if there is room. We do not move anything that may be damaged by moving (i.e. beds in tight areas and/or with wood headboards, china hutches, wired computers/desks, etc.). WE DO NOT MIND doing two rooms at a time over several days/weeks if that fits your lifestyle better to prepare a couple of rooms at a time. Our minimum charge is now $118.00. This includes two room areas** up to 200 square feet each, $59.00 per room thereafter during the same appointment time.Scheduling: Although our first job of the day is a firm time, the following appointments may be delayed if we experience difficulties on the earlier job(s). Although it is very uncommon, we notify you of any possible changes or delays to the schedule by cell phone as soon as we discover any potential for a delay on the earlier job(s). We ask to allow a 2 hour window for our arrival only as a safeguard as we very seldom ever need that much of a delay. We want you to be ecstatic with not only our cleaning, but also every part of your experience using our service.

Preparation Steps for Carpet Cleaning

  1. Please advise your Cleaning Specialist about any special requirements to follow on moving your furniture, i.e., weak legs, loose tops, etc.  We will only move furniture that is reasonably movable for one man.
  2. Please vacuum your traffic areas and under furniture you want moved, before we arrive.  If you need to move furniture out to vacuum underneath, please place it back exactly where it belongs so as not to cover the traffic area next to, or in front of the furniture.  We will be happy to move it, clean under it, and then replace it.
  3. Please pin up any full-length draperies so that they will be at least 6 inches from the carpet. Pin up any skirts on upholstered furniture, which may be touching the carpet.
  4. Remove all items from furniture, which will have to be temporarily moved from its regular location to properly clean your carpet, including books on tables, etc.  We will not move furniture that displays breakable items.
  5. Any small pieces of furniture such as dining room chairs, magazine racks, etc. that you can remove from the carpet to be cleaned will shorten processing time and return the carpet to normal use sooner.
  6. China cabinets cannot be moved unless completely emptied of all breakables.  However, carpet underneath such cabinets can be hand cleaned where sufficient room is available, or we can edge right around the base.
  7. Please call to your Cleaning Specialist’s attention any spots or stains which may require special techniques and identify the staining agent if possible.  He or she has had specialized training in handling these concerns.
  8. For your pet’s peace of mind (and ours!) please put them in a safe place where our cleaning won’t disturb them.
  9. If possible, please have an outside water faucet available for us to turn on.
  10. A special note about odors. We do everything possible to reduce or eliminate pet odors.  However, due to depth of contamination, 100% success may not be attainable.  For several days after cleaning, you may notice an elevated odor due to higher humidity levels.  We do offer advance optional levels of odor removal.  Please ask your Cleaning Specialist for more information.
